Tommy Fleetwood takes positives after missing out on Race to Dubai

After missing out on Race to Dubai Success at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship, tommy Fleetwood led the Compliments for Jon Rahm.

Despite securing second spot in 36, but fell short fleetwood needed a complete at Jumeriah Golf Estates to have some chance of finishing the year as European No 1 for a second time.
The Englishman briefly trailed through a stunning final day, only to birdie five of the final seven holes and close a 65 out to set the target at 18 under.
Fleetwood, pursuing another victory in as many starts, then can only watch as Rahm – who let a lead slide during the round – got up and down from a greenside bunker to generate birdie and snatch a one-shot success.
I feel good, Fleetwood told Sky Sports. I could not have done much longer, actually. Some of the shots they [Mike and Rahm Lorenzo-Vera] hit coming to the stretch, it may have a opportunity or began looking like that I could get back into it.
These two weeks make the season just look in another light than it did would weeks before we started. Theres always going to be a small bit of pity there but for the large part, I have myself back inside and Im really pleased with how I played on back nine.
Its Jon [Rahm]s time, Jons instant. Hes played incredible this year and play. Good birdie down the past and yeah, only satisfied with my week.
After shutting his 70 with Rory McIlroy seven shots off the pace in fourth place, with a three-putt par at the last mike Lorenzo-Vera started but finished in third.
I will return at 2019 very fondly, McIlroy said. Theres been lots of golf playedprobably a few of the golf. Four wins and I guess this is the 19th top-10.
It has been a learning year, too. I learned some things that I wish to consider next season, but first and foremost get myself ready for next calendar year and Im excited about a couple of months off to reflect on what.
Ill take a good four or four week break from them [golf clubs] and then in the year, I will begin getting ready playing and again in the last week in January.
