Dale Earnhardt Jr. still has sore back but plans on racing at Darlington

(CNN) — Dale Earnhardt Jr. is only largely retired, therefore he doesnt plan to miss out driving at one of his favorite tracks when NASCAR goes to Darlington Raceway in South Carolina next week.
Earnhardt, who had been a week together with his wifehis wife and two pilots, also said he is still hurting from the wreck but plans to take the wheel of a car in the Xfinity Series on August 31.
My lower back is bruised up bad. Tons of swelling and that I only want this to go down and the pain to flake outside, he tweeted. I have been handling the area every day only to get nicely to race
Earnhardt retired from fulltime racing but he has raced since then year in an Xfinity race in Richmond. Earnhardt is currently also a television analyst for NBC and also a team owner.
On Monday, after skipping the races in Bristol, Tennessee, near where his plane crashed following a difficult landing, Earnhardt thanked emergency responders his pilots and hospital workers.
Were really blessed that on board escaped with no serious injuries, including our daughter, our two pilots as well as our puppy Gus, Earnhardt added.
Racing fans are looking forward to Earnhardts one on-track look this year. He also holds the record for winning the circuits most popular driver award 15 years in a row.
