Dale Earnhardt Jr. still has sore back but plans on racing at Darlington

(CNN) — Dale Earnhardt Jr. is just largely retired, therefore he doesnt intend to miss driving one of his favorite tracks when NASCAR goes to Darlington Raceway in South Carolina next weekend.
Earnhardt, who was last week along with his spouse , daughter and two pilots, said he is still hurting from the mess but plans to take the wheel of an auto in the Xfinity Series.
My lower back is bruised up bad. Plenty of swelling and that I only need that to return along with the pain to chill outside, he also tweeted. I have been treating the area daily solely to get well to race.
Earnhardt retired from fulltime racing in 2017 due to the effects of concussions, but hes hurried once since then — past year in an Xfinity race at Richmond. Earnhardt is now a television analyst for NBC and a team owner.
On Monday, near where his plane crashed following a landing after bypassing the races in Bristol, Tennessee, Earnhardt thanked emergency responders his pilots and hospital employees.
Were truly blessed that on board escaped with no serious injuries, including our daughter, both pilots as well as our puppy Gus, Earnhardt added.
Fans are looking forward to Earnhardts one appearance this past year. He also holds the record for winning the most popular driver award of the circuit 15 years in a row.
