Charlie Nicholas’ Champions League and Europa League predictions

Charlie Nicholas returns with his predictions to the clubs becoming Europa League campaigns along with their Champions League under way.
You will find nine British clubs involved in the contests this year, such as Liverpool, who want to defend their Champions League title.
And Soccer Saturday’s Charlie has provided his forecasts for the forthcoming fixtures…
This is going to be a check for the Champions League holders. We saw a side that was vulnerable for their defence at the weekend , conceding after just seven minutes against Newcastle. This is not the point, although they obtained and have walked comfortably.
Is incredible. He doesn’t get the goals which Mohamed Salah gets has the pace that Sadio Mane does however he’s skill and cunning. He can be my favourite out of the three, my favorite to see and is a team player, though he may be much easier to mark than the other two.
Liverpool have not improved in midfield. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a baseball player. These three have to be in their game although we all know they are a fantastic side.
Napoli are all maybe not persuasive, although all-action and powerful in the home . Dries does this job and Mertens rocks up. He has goals that are big and I expect him to catch another through the week.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (10/1 with Sky Bet)
Mason Mount’s performances have been impressive although tammy Abraham’s intentions are colossal. All 11 Premier League goals have been scored by england U21 players so far which is remarkable. I believed they would be in trouble but I was incorrect. They have great energy and decent pace up front. It’s an expansive means of playing Frank Lampard.
Valencia sacked their boss and I don’t find them being flamboyant. They will attempt to counter-attack that will allow it to be hard for Abraham and Mount to comprehend.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-0 (6/1 with Sky Bet)
This can be an embarrassing one. Tottenham were remarkable in the first half. They kept grasp of Christian Eriksen and so things have calmed down a little. So is that it has calmed down, he began against Palace?
His team has been changed by mauricio Pochettino too much and that is why they seem vulnerable in the back. I would envision Tottenham would try to control ownership, but that really can be an embarrassing trip and these are dangerous teams to journey to. Tottenham are still erratic.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (11/2 with Sky Bet)
Manchester City found this one difficult season. Shakhtar have brought in a little bit of pedigree but that is becoming less and less as the years progress. They are not quite getting those titles and it takes away the creative ability they were dangerous with. They aren’t quite certain maybe not or whether they need to be contesting.
City will be badly winded following the Norwich game. Aymeric Laporte is a massive overlook for them. Why Pep Guardiola decided to leave out Kevin de Bruyne at the weekend I don’t know. This is going to be a win to receive the Premier League winners back on the right track.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 0-4 (12/1 with Sky Bet)
God only knows what defence Unai Emery can pick. I don’t know we’ll need to say it. They are good going forward, as would be the kids. The balance from midfield front is not bad , but it is scary how awful Arsenal are.
What’s the attraction to Sokratis Papastathopoulos? Kieran Tierney on Thursday and I would play and determine whether Hector Bellerin could begin. Seeing Sunday’s match against Watford, when you see David Luiz giving directions with 20 minutes to go, you know that you are in trouble.
Konstantinos Mavropanos is game time off from being healthy. When Shkodran Mustafi was brought back, it would be the end again. We need to have Rob Holding, Bellerin and Tierney back into the side after possible. I play with these players to give them match time and let them get fit fitness and would take a hit.
Nicolas Pepe was dreadful against Watford. How Emery took Mesut Ozil along with Dani Ceballos off ahead of him was me. It’s beginning to effect a number of the other young players and Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Joe Willock and reiss Nelson came on and couldn’t keep the ball.
It’s the supervisor’s responsibility. This must be resolved by him and develop a conclusion about the best way best to sort this out. Tierney, Bellerin, and Holding need to play with I’d play with them this week and have a defeat when it meant they have.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-2 (12/1 with Sky Bet)
Astana will come and’park the bus’. Manchester United were not brilliant at the weekend, however it turned out to be a result – they stumbled however it’s all about becoming the 3 points, in what was once a match to yourselves, and they didn’t.
It will not create a difference that Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard were missing – . That is just another game where they’ll get over the line although It’s not persuasive with United.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-0 (5/1 with Sky Bet)
Nuno Espirito Santo will need to get one over in the Portuguese side. Braga are harmful but don’t travel well. Are caught up in the emotion of the Europa League? As Chelsea thumped them they even took their foot off the pedal in Premier League.
They were blown off during weekend and make errors and it was very unlike them to concede five. They will have to get back to basics and find a win in in the Premier League, but Nuno will take this seriously and I anticipate Wolves to become too strong here, getting off to a fine start in the group stages.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-0 (6/1 with Sky Bet)
Rennes have begun very well in Ligue 1. I hope that M’Baye Niang won’t be playing. He’s lightning quick, almost a version of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. These guys can move and play, and that is what Celtic fight against.
Celtic is going to be helpful about the counter-attack, but their standing is obviously the same. They get scared when they venture away from home. They do not know whether to perform with a squeezing sport or not and the best places to pitch their defence. They are going to have players that are technically talented and pace out wide. Celtic won’t threaten here and have injuries that are defensive.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 2-1 (17/2 with Sky Bet)
This is going to be a game that is roaring. Feyenoord have a strong reputation. Feyenoord have the passion but aren’t bringing the support they’d always attract. Rangers like these nights and that is the reason why Steven Gerrard is there. They haven’t clicked into gear just yet though. The negative of jaap Stam will sit for 20-25 minutes and this could cause frustration about Ibrox – this is if they could pounce.
Alfredo Morelos is your danger and Feyenoord will be turning him up whether they can get him to see. He looks a lot calmer than that which he’s been previously! It’s not a simple night. It’ll be physical and stressed. If Rangers have the understanding to make it through those games 16, I don’t know.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)
