Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among Puskas award nominees

(CNN) — Long-range screamers, mazy solo runs and magnificent acrobatic strikes, this seasons Puskas Award has everything.
The prize is given by FIFA to the best goal of this season and this seasons candidates include previous winner Zlatan Ibrahimovic well-known Lionel Messi plus some titles like Billie Simpson of both Northern Ireland Premiership side Cliftonville Ladies.
Simpson is hoping to become the first female winner of the award — named after Hungarian celebrity Ferenc Pusk??s — the Utah Royals of combined with Cameroons Ajara Nchout along with Amy Rodriguez.

The prize was awarded in 2009 and ever since then, stars like James Rodriguez Neymar and last years victor Mohamed Salah have gone on to acquire.
The public votes on the first top 10, prior to a FIFA panel chooses a winner.
Winners, almost entirely unheard of before wins and their nominations, include Wendell Lira along with Faiz Subri.
Without a club and trying hard to feed his loved ones, Lira reported the prize changed his lifestyle. He moved on to register for Vila Nova but knee injuries forced him retire at the age of 27 and he moved on to become YouTuber and a participant.
Voting for your 2019 award closes on September 1.
